Destination:  Phi Mu, the 2008 Texas State Day theme, was held on Saturday, March 8 from 10am – 4pm at the Hilton DFW Lakes in Grapevine.  There were almost 50 attendees, with an even representation of collegians and alumnae.   You can see photos from this event, Phi Mu Photos.

Wendy Cahoy led a great discussion with the collegians on the benefits of sisterhood after college.

Mercedes Johnson gave an inspirational speech, “Power of Sisterhood”, of her survival thru a devastating plane crash and how the support of her sorority sisters (Lambda Zeta chapter), helped her cope.

Our raffle items raised over $200 for CMN. We also sold several quatrefoil cookie cutters to benefit CMN.

A Founder’s Day Ceremony was also be part of our program.  The pink carnations used in the ceremony were generously donated by Debby Baker, The Dallas Flowermart.

Thank you very much to Francine Dalton and everyone on the State Day committee, your hard work made the day successful!
