As Phi Mu Alumnae, we take an active part in helping improve our community through philanthropic activities. We are actively involved with several charitable organizations. Our chapter schedules regular events at Children's Medical Center in Dallas along with supporting Children's Miracle Network.
All CMN proceeds raised by our alumnae chapter goes directly to our CMN hospital here in Dallas – Children’s Medical Center. This year our fundraising events will include raffles at some of our meetings, Mambo Italiano luncheon & silent auction, and our Change for CMN – Change for Children collection. Over the last three years, we have raised almost $3000 to help children in our area!

Change for Children
This fundraiser activity takes place at Chapter events. A pink basket is used to collect loose change from our membership and all contributions are donated to CMN. Last year our chapter donated over $150 to CMN through this activity.

Monday, October 19, 2009 DID YOU KNOW...In 1998, Phi Mu was proud to be the first NPC group to establish National Philanthropy Day. On the third Monday during the month of October, Phi Mus gather to share their skills and energies to make the world a better place by dedicating themselves to "hands on" community service. Phi Mus everywhere can be proud of the part their Fraternity plays in continuing the proud tradition of giving, caring and sharing.

Additional Philanthropy Opportunities
Heart to Heart Chapter Collegiate Support Our chapter is supportive of Collegiate Phi Mu's, even though there isn't a Phi Mu collegiate chapter in our immediate area. We support chapters and individuals in many ways such as gifts for the chapter house, study supplies, and donations.
Kappa Iota at Northwestern is our Heart to Heart Chapter. During college finals time, the Dallas Alumnae chapter has prepared and delivered study goodie bags to the ladies of Northwestern State University. Our Collegiate Support committee have been responsible for these so thanks to these ladies and everyone who donates items and spends time filling bags.
Panhellenic We recognize the importance of Panhellenic ties with other Greek organizations. We are therefore, proud to be a part of the Dallas, Coppell, Plano, and Richardson Panhellenic Associations. For more information, visit the Dallas Alumnae Panhellenic Association.
Awards and Honors The women of the Dallas Area Phi Mu Alumnae Chapter have repeatedly been recognized for the service to the community and fraternity. Click Here for more information on our awards and national fraternity participation.
GoodSearch.com Charitable Donation Are you aware of a new search engine called GoodSearch.com that donates half its revenue to the charities its users designate. GoodSearch is powered by Yahoo, so you get the same results you would get if you used Yahoo, but you're also donating to a great cause doing something you'd do anyway.
Go to GoodSearch.com, select Phi Mu as the charity to support and this becomes another way to support Phi Mu.
